Phallus-Amulet - Replica from the Middle Ages.
This pendant with the motive of a winged penis with little bells was found in the Netherlands. The phallus amulet was at that time made of tin and dates from the period 1375 to 1425.
The winged phallus carries a small bell on the band. It is the most widespread "indecent" pewter badge of the late Middle Ages.
Especially in the Netherlands and in France pendants like this phallus amulet were widespread in the Middle Ages, they can be found in numerous finds. Often the amulet was also sewn directly on the clothes.
Dimensions phallus amulet: 3.5 x 4 cm.
The Phallus amulet is made of zamac casting and is available in the colours brass or silver.
A 2 mm thick, black cotton band in 1 m length for the amulet is enclosed.
